Welcome to Beautiful Pink Column!

Someone somewhere is depending on you to do what God has called you to do. Why are you here? I don’t mean why are you here reading this. Have you ever asked God, “Why am I here? What’s my purpose?”

I believe that the trials we go through in life form us into the people we are today. With the lessons I have learned through these trials, I have been able to help others going through similar situations. It helps lessen the pain of all I’ve been through, knowing I have helped others. What if I hadn’t gone through these things? As the saying goes, “You don’t know what it’s like until you have walked a mile in my shoes!” You just can’t understand these things unless you have gone through them yourself. You gain compassion, understanding, empathy and love. The legacy that I would like to leave is that I loved and loved fiercely. As my late husband Mark once told me, “…the reason I fell in love with you, is your heart. That big ol’ heart of yours that cares so much, expects so little, and feels pain when those you love feels pain, that is what makes you so special.”

It was only recently that I discovered my birth name in Italian describes God’s plan for my life: Linda (Bea

utiful), Rose/Rosa (Pink), Colonna (Column). I believe the “Linda Rose” part of my name describes the beautiful femininity of womanhood, while the “Colonna” describes the strong, supportive columns used in structures.

As long as I live, and hopefully beyond, I pray that I will continue to support and strengthen warriors who have been through hell and back.

Ask yourself today, “What is my purpose? What has God called me to do?” Find it. Then go do it.
